“Great Hair Day” was a script brought to us by two amazing creatives working at GSD&M on the Hampton account, Verenice Lopez and Kevin Lane. The client wanted the project to go live on March 31, the day before April Fools. We were awarded the job on March 21st, so had to take the project from pre through post in 9 days. We shot the project on March 27th and did an editing marathon from the moment we wrapped through finishing on the 29th. We shot on the Alexa Mini with Cooke S4 lenses. Our on set crew was 10 people. We had a Chapman dolly and slider for camera movement and an overhead rig for the top down shot. We used Tone for color correction. We did not handle casting or locations, which made the truncated timeline possible.
