Proof Advertising came to us with their Holiday concept for Travelocity after we worked with them on three other shoots in the year proceeding. Initially the project was to be shot on location, but through some preliminary creative calls, we agreed that we should create the Roaming Gnome’s office, which had never before been seen, from scratch in studio. We had two weeks of pre production, one day of filming, and three weeks of post production. We spent two days in studio building the set, one day filming, and a half day wrapping out of the studio. We delivered 5 :15 second videos with the gnome reading 4 different holiday cards and one static image to be used at a later date for social. We shotlisted and storyboarded the concept and added the “knick knacks” as a way to visually differentiate the videos in the final shots. We shot on the Alexa Mini with Cooke S4 Lenses and had Finland Finish color the footage.
