Brenda Szwejbka | “By the Bayou”

We’re kind of a fan of AI over here at CamLock and an even bigger fan of Brenda Szwejbka. She’s Morgan’s best friend, has the voice of an angel, and had us film this music video for her back in 2018. It remained unfinished for a while until AI Stable Diffusion made its way onto the scene and we thought the music video would be the perfect candidate for testing the software out. We were right! 

Though the lovable computer generated effects made the scenery really come to life, those mirror pieces, clouds and mountains were practical elements on set. We made the clouds using paper lanterns and cotton and cut the mountains out of cardboard. The lanterns also made for some great practical lighting effects for the stormy lightning. The location, though dreamy as it is, was actually just an AirBnB that we rented.

Nick handled the final edit, using Stable Diffusion V1.5 to generate new backgrounds. We’re very happy with how it turned out and are excited to add Stable Diffusion and other constantly updating Ai tools to our filmmaking arsenal!
