Our longtime collaborators at BondX came to us with an idea and just pure excitement for making something for fun. As much as we love “insert brand here” and making art for commerce, this spot had DIY short film energy on set and we think it’s really quite funny.

Lyle Jenks wanted to recreate the image from Die Hard of John McLane crawling through the industrial air ducts. I think we were able to recreate the magic at home pretty spot on. Thanks to Morgan’s brother Bailey for helping screw some sheets of aluminum and Art Director Max Rasche for donating his home to shoot in… For someone who has been on set as much as he has, he knew the implications of offering to provide the location!

For the scene where our actor Byron Brown falls through the roof and into the living room, we thought a kitschy Texas Switch would be an effect that tells the story while embodying the spirit of the Doritos brand. Hope you have as good of a time watching it as we had making it!
