Tito's Handmade Vodka wanted a campaign that met people where they already were: at home. Working with longtime agency partner Bandolier Media, Camlock Films — an Austin video production company — produced a set of staycation-adjacent social spots built on a simple, charming promise: you don't have to fly anywhere to enjoy a tropical escape, you can mix a piña colada on your own couch. For a brand made in Austin, it was a fitting bit of hometown realism. We handled the project from pre-production through finishing and delivery: four native social pieces, each under :15, shot on location in Austin.

The creative hook lived entirely in the camera move. Every spot is a single shot that opens looking like a classic vacation postcard, then pulls back and zooms out to reveal you're actually still at home — the joke landing in one continuous, unbroken reveal. Selling that gag meant nailing framing, set dressing, and timing in-camera rather than fixing it in post, since there was effectively no VFX to lean on. That put the weight on disciplined production: every element in frame had to read two ways, as both the fantasy and the reality.

Because the concept relied on carefully lit, fully dressed sets, we built the day to extract maximum value from them. We shot the hero CTV-quality assets first on an ARRI Alexa Mini with Angénieux Optimo primes, then brought a second shooter in with an iPhone to capture additional social content on the same pre-lit, pre-dressed sets — an efficient model that turned one build into a deeper library of deliverables. With a crew of about 15, we shot four finished spots in a single day in Austin.

The payoff came after delivery: Bandolier and Tito's liked the finished assets enough that what was conceived as native social earned a paid media buy behind it — a quiet but real signal that the craft cleared the bar.
