Details

YETI built its reputation on gear that survives whatever you throw at it, and when the brand extended that promise to its travel luggage, it came to Camlock Films, an Austin video production company, to bring the idea to life. Working direct-to-brand with YETI's in-house agency — who conceived the spot and wrote the script — we took on production and post for a piece that dramatizes what really happens to your bags after they disappear behind the airport counter. The concept: two baggage handlers haul a YETI bag into a boxing ring and try to destroy it with punches, kicks, and flips, only to fail completely. The closing shot reveals the carnage they inflicted on everything else — a heap of generic luggage beaten and ripped in half.

This was a lean, direct-to-brand commercial production and, frankly, a passion project — the kind of low-budget brief that lives or dies on resourcefulness. The creative hinged on physical comedy, so casting was everything: we needed a performer who could throw real backflips, karate kicks, and jumps and sell the absurdity of a fight the bag was always going to win. We also landed a boxing-gym location in kind, and it became a hero element — a gritty, characterful space that gave the spot far more production value than the budget alone would suggest.

We shot the spot in Austin with a small crew built for speed. On the post side, this marked a craft milestone for us: our first project integrating a custom 3D element, with a plane rendered in Blender flying over the gymnasium alongside a TSA air-traffic control tower, selling the airport world without ever leaving the gym. Nick handled the edit, cutting the physical gags for maximum comedic timing and landing the final reveal. The result is a tight, funny piece where smart problem-solving on a thin budget reads as intention, not compromise.

"Baggage Handlers" turned a passion project into one of our proudest pieces of branded content — proof that a strong concept, the right location, and disciplined post can punch well above their budget. It's the kind of work that defines Camlock Films as a Texas production partner: a production company brands and agencies can trust to turn a lean brief into something genuinely good. For anyone searching for an Austin production company that solves creative problems instead of inflating budgets, this is the standard we hold.
