Whataburger | “Whatahours”
1 day shoot | Production ONly
Agency: McGarrah Jessee
Director: Ryan Farmer
Producers: Morgan Bond & Rob Leeder
Our friends at McGarrah Jessee reached out to us for this Whataburger socials shoot. We shot this in one day at a Whataburger in Kyle, TX. We shot on the Red Helium, a little bit of GoPro, and we used an Easyrig Minimax for everything except for interviews (our DP probably needed a massage after this day. Sorry Patrick!).
The idea behind the name of this shoot, “Whatahours”, was to showcase what each employee is putting their work hours in for. Every employee got to tell their story of how Whataburger is helping them reach a personal goal. We did a series of interviews and then also got to shoot some b-roll of the team working. Whether it was saving to buy a house, or a side hustle while in school, each employee had a goal that Whataburger was helping them reach.
We had a few challenges throughout the day - avoiding customers and making sure our crew left the smallest footprint we could, since the location stayed open during our shoot. It was definitely a high energy day with a busy lunch rush, and other day-to-day tasks for the employees, which helped with the authenticity of the “day in the life” feel.
