3…2…1…Live! Derek from Heat Index contacted Morgan about producing a live streaming broadcast show for an Amazon giveaway over the gaming platform, Twitch. It included an entire set-build by Joscelyne Ponder and her team to give the impression of a retro game show. The preparation was crucial in making sure the four-hour show ran smoothly as thousands were watching in real-time and able to communicate with the hosts via chat.
We rented Aduro Studios in North Austin for the event and made good use of both of their sound stages. One was kept for the main show while the other was used for green screen effects in ad breaks and prize giveaways.
Our biggest challenge was the air conditioning as this was the dead of summer and the space filled with many bodies and hot lights. Luckily, we were able to bring in some portable A/C units to keep the talent cool for the day.
